TORONTO – A 31-year-old man was arrested near Ottawa last Friday after he tried to run from police on a farm tractor while naked.
Police say they were called by the man’s father to help control his son, who had reportedly not slept in days and was on drugs.
The man was inside a car on the driveway honking the horn when police arrived at the home just after 1 a.m.
When he saw police, the man jumped out of the car and onto a tractor and drove through a nearby trail.
“He was going about 30 kilometres an hour,” Const. Martin Fournel told The Ottawa Citizen.
The tractor broke down shortly after and the man was arrested and taken to hospital for assessment.
According to police, the man could face charges of fleeing police and breach of probation.
