WATCH ABOVE: Dogs line up at the fairgrounds in Petaluma, California, to compete for the title of World’s Ugliest Dog. This year’s winner is Peanut.

A two-year-old mutt – believed to be a Chihuahua-Shih Tzu mix – has been named World’s Ugliest Dog for 2014.

Peanut, whose wild white and brown hair, bulging eyes and protruding teeth belie his sweet, energetic personality, beat out competitors from across the U.S.
