EDMONTON – Police have released video and photos of the suspect in Friday morning’s hit-and-run that left a 33-year-old man dead.

Since the hit-and-run, police have been searching for the driver of the truck involved in the incident.

“We don’t have a name for him, we don’t know if he’s from the city, we don’t know anything about him at this point, really. And that’s why we’re issuing his picture, hoping to get some information,” said Det. Rick Thomas with the EPS Homicide Section.

The manhunt began Friday morning after Adam Groves was run over and killed by his own truck as he tried to stop it from being stolen.

Edmonton police located the blue Dodge Ram truck at the back of a residence in the area of 112 Ave. and 94 St., around 6:30 p.m. Friday. The suspect still has not been found.

A woman was taken into custody Friday morning, but Thomas wouldn’t speak about the possible relationship between the woman and the male suspect, except to say: “they were obviously connected at some point. The extent, we don’t know, we’re still investigating that aspect.”

The Edmonton Police Service continues to investigate the fatality, and is releasing video surveillance footage of the suspect in the hopes the public can help to identify the suspect.
