B.C. man charged with drug trafficking in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Police have charged a 40-year-old B.C. man with drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Saskatoon on Tuesday.

Around 7:30 p.m., an officer noticed a male motorist driving without due care and attention and stopped the vehicle to investigate near Circle Drive West and 22nd Street.

Police searched the vehicle and found cocaine packaged for distribution, ecstasy pills, hash, marijuana and approximately $1,500 in cash.

Alexandru Dragomir, 40, was arrested and is facing four drug charges and one count for possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He has been remanded and scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday morning.
