CALGARY – RCMP responding to a break and enter in the town of Innisfail on Wednesday got more than they bargained for.
Officers found two people at the scene, who were detained while they investigated.
They subsequently searched a nearby vehicle, which led to the discovery of a stash of drugs worth thousands of dollars.
Police seized methamphetamine (crystal meth), heroin, cannabis resin (hash), prescription drugs and weapons worth over $17,000.
A 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested during the investigation.
