More details are expected to be released today in the wake of yesterday’s police raids in Toronto that resulted in more than 50 arrests.
Two gangs were targeted — the Sick Thugz and the Asian Assassins — for their alleged involvement in a number of Toronto shootings.
Numerous police agencies from across the province were involved in the operation, and investigators seized firearms, cash and drugs.
Names of the accused haven’t been released and police expect charges to include trafficking firearms, human trafficking, and robbery. (The Canadian Press)
