TORONTO – Severe thunderstorms and nickel-sized hail moved through Toronto Tuesday afternoon.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the city just after 2:30 p.m. ET warning it was tracking a thunderstorm moving southeastward.

Heavy downpours as well as hail about two centimetres in diameter were reported to the weather agency.
There is a chance of continuing storms throughout the day.

A special weather statement was also issued for southwestern Ontario, including Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, and London, calling for thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall throughout the afternoon.
