Roughriders Plaza of Honor inducts two more members

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that Chris Szarka and Omarr Morgan will be inducted into the team’s Plaza of Honor.

Chris Szarka spent 14 seasons playing for the Riders, appearing in 226 regular season games and finishing his career with 423 carries for 1,703 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns. Szarka also had 98 catches for 1,308 yards and five touchdowns.

Szarka, dubbed ‘The Canuck Truck’ by fans, won the Grey Cup with the Riders in 2007.

Omarr Morgan spent 11 seasons in the CFL, ten of which were spent with the Riders. Morgan played 176 games with the Riders and finished his career with 608 tackles, 62 pass knockdowns and 27 interceptions.

Morgan played in two Grey Cups with the Riders in 2009 and 2010.

The Plaza of Honor dinner is scheduled for September 19th at the Credit Union Eventplex.
