Contrans said Aim’s fleet consists of 15 tractors and 22 tandem flatbed trailers. The operation will now be based out of Contrans’ terminal in Hagersville, Ont.
“We like the mid to long-term prospects for this market,” Contrans’ CEO Stan Dunford said in a statement.
“We believe that acquiring additional drivers and hauling capacity as well as expanding our customer base now will create additional long-term shareholder value.”
Before the acquisition, southwestern Ontario-based Contrans managed about 1,100 trucks and 2,100 trailers.
