Woman killed after car hits moose near Wynyard, Sask.

WYNYARD, Sask. – A 23-year-old woman is dead after her car struck a moose southeast of Wynyard, Sask., Friday night.

RCMP say they received a call around 10:15 p.m., of a single vehicle collision on Highway 35.

Police say the woman was driving a Honda Civic when she hit a moose.

The damaged vehicle was found submerged in a body of water along the side of the road.

Twenty-three-year-old Jennifer Norman, of Foam Lake, was located inside the car.

A collision analyst investigated the crash scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled for next week.

Wynyard is approximately 175 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
