ENSCHEDE, Netherlands – Dutch police say they have launched a criminal investigation into a soccer stadium roof collapse that killed one construction worker and injured 15 others.
Police have formed a special team of investigators to establish whether any crime led to the collapse at FC Twente’s Grolsch Veste stadium on the outskirts of the eastern city of Enschede.

Enschede municipality said Friday one of the injured remained in critical condition, a day after the red roof crashed down during work to add a new tier of seating to the stadium. Six other people remained hospitalized.
Investigators are appealing for amateur video to help piece together how the roof suddenly fell.
