SASKATOON – Three men have been charged in relation to a firearms investigation in a small Saskatchewan town west of Saskatoon.
On Tuesday afternoon, police in Saskatoon received information that a man was believed to be in possession of firearms in Asquith, Sask.
With assistance from the emergency response team (ERT), members attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 14.

The driver tried to evade capture leading to a short vehicle pursuit through Asquith.
Fortunate for police – the vehicle got stuck in a field.
All of the suspects, ages 19 to 22, then attempted to run and were quickly arrested.
A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded rifle, ammunition, brass knuckles and a knife.
The accused are facing numerous firearms charges and were scheduled to appear in provincial court on Wednesday afternoon.
Asquith is approximately 40 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
