TORONTO – York Regional Police say they’ll be returning stolen war medals that were recovered as part of an investigation called Project Spiderman to their owners today.
Between October 2010 and January 2014, a number of high-end homes throughout the Toronto region were broken into and police say the suspect often scaled home and entered through skylights.
Since a suspect was arrested in January, police say they’ve recovered hundreds of items including watches, jewelry and, most recently, war medals.
Forty-three-year-old Shane Gagnon of Bradford is charged with 31 counts of break-and-enter.
