MOOSE JAW, Sask. –The country’s top midget hockey teams are in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to battle for the 2014 Telus Cup.
Canada’s 41st annual AAA midget hockey championship marks the third time Saskatchewan has played host.
This year’s host team, the Moose Jaw Generals, are joined by five regional champions: the Grenadiers de Châteauguay, Halifax McDonald’s, Okanagan Rockets, Prince Albert Mintos and Toronto Young Nationals.

The Prince Albert Mintos are the only previous champion in the tournament, having won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.
While the Generals and Rockets are making their first Telus Cup appearances, the other teams all have national championship experience.
All six competitors will take to the ice starting Monday afternoon for the 19-game tournament at Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place.
The gold medal game will be take place on Sunday, April 27.
