Sarah McLachlan partners with Canada Dry to raise funds for music program

TORONTO — Sarah McLachlan has become a bona fide “pop” star thanks to a new partnership with Canada Dry.

The B.C.-based singer is promoting a reformulated diet ginger ale and raising funds for her eponymous music program for Vancouver youth.

“When I was growing up, it was a given that we had music in our schools. These days many of these programs are not available and private lessons can be cost-prohibitive to most families,” McLachlan explained in a press release.

“With the support of Canada Dry, my dream of providing free music education will continue to become a reality for young musicians.”

The company will match donations to the Sarah McLachlan School of Music up to $30,000.
