Kelowna Rockets close out the first round in 5

The Kelowna Rockets are moving on to the 2nd round of playoff action. The Rockets took their series with the Tri-City Americans 4 games to 1, with a 4-1 win at Prospera Place on Friday night. Carter Rigby, and Rourke Chartier both put one in the net, while Marek Tvrdon scored twice. The lone Tri-City score came in the second period from Parker Bowles. Kelowna Right Wing Myles Bell was missing from the game.  He was injured during Wednesday’s 5-3 win in Kennewick and there was speculation he may not be back in the lineup for this game. Who the Rockets will take on in round two is still undecided. They will face off against whoever wins the Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips series. The Thunderbirds are up 3-1 in that series. The other western semi-final will see the Portland Winterhawks battling the Victoria Royals
