An 88-year-old man has died after being struck while riding his motorized scooter across a street in Tsawwassen earlier today.
Shortly after 12 p.m., the man was riding his motorized scooter across 56th Street at 9th Avenue, which was not a marked crosswalk, when he was hit by an SUV.

The driver of the SUV stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police.
Delta Police have shut down 56th Street in both directions from 8A Avenue to 12th Avenue while they investigate the scene of the collision.
