Two people were taken to hospital after a shooting in New Westminster early this morning.
It happened at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the area of 1st Street and Royal Avenue.
Police received reports of shots fired, and as they were about to respond, the victims showed up at the station.

One of the men had a gunshot wound, and the other suffered minor injuries.
Their current conditions are unknown. It is also not clear what the motive of the shooting was.
Investigators spent several hours combing the shooting scene for evidence, but aren’t saying if they’re looking for anyone else.
Traffic in the area was shut down for some time, but is now back to normal.
