WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg police major crimes unit is investigating after shots were fired near a West End strip mall.
Police taped off a majority of the parking lot of the Sargent Square strip mall near the corner of Sargent Avenue and Young Street Wednesday night.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m.
Reports that one person went to hospital with a gunshot wound were false, police said.
