EDMONTON – Edmonton Oilers goalie Viktor Fasth was helped off the ice Monday morning after colliding with teammate Anton Lander during practice.

“I didn’t see it,” said Coach Dallas Eakins after Monday’s practice. “I guess he got driven into the net off a rush, banged his head.”

“He wasn’t concussed or anything – I guess, sprained his neck. He’s going to go see the docs and if we need to call someone up we will.”

In his last appearance Fasth allowed five goals on 16 shots and was pulled seven minutes into the second period of the Oilers’ 8-1 loss to the Flames Saturday night.

The Oilers are home to the Pacific Division leader San Jose Sharks Tuesday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m. MST.
