The president of Alberta’s Progressive Conservatives, Jim McCormick, told reporters Tuesday that allegations by a former Conservative MLA that Premier Alison Redford is a bully, will not be pursued.
Len Webber announced last week he was leaving the party to sit in the legislature as an Independent.

Webber said he was leaving Redford’s caucus because he could no longer work with her and claimed the premier treats people poorly.
But McCormick says it isn’t the party’s role to investigate Redford’s behavior.
Following Webber’s departure, Calgary MLA Donna Kennedy Glans also decided to leave the party and sit as an independent.

There are reports that several other MLAs are unhappy with Redford’s leadership and are also considering leaving.
Redford’s constituency association is standing behind the premier, it issued a statement in support of Redford Tuesday afternoon.
