SASKATOON – A man has pleaded guilty for a workplace safety violation at a Saskatoon worksite.
Jason Rolleston, operating as TJR Construction, of Saskatoon pleaded guilty to one charge under occupational health and safety legislation for failing to ensure that construction workers used a fall protection system at a worksite.
Rolleston was charged after an inspection found workers were seen on a roof not utilizing fall protection equipment.
He was fined in fined $840 Saskatoon provincial court.
According to Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, falls represent over 12 per cent of reported construction injuries.
