TORONTO — Jack is back — and he’s got fans buzzing.
A trailer for 24: Live Another Day posted last Friday shows Ontario-raised Kiefer Sutherland, 47, back in action as Jack Bauer.
The 12-episode series, which kicks off four years after 24 ended its eight-season run, takes Bauer to London, where he tries to thwart a terrorist attack while being hunted by the CIA.

Mary Lynn Rajskub reprises her role from the original series and the reboot also stars Benjamin Bratt, William Devane, Tate Donovan and Gbenga Akinnagbe.
On Twitter, fans are counting down until the 24: Live Another Day premiere with #JackIsBack.
“Woo can’t wait!,” tweeted Christopher Harris.

“It’s crazy how stoked I am for 24 to start again!!,” Robert Mitchell tweeted.
Several episodes were directed by Ottawa’s Jon Cassar, who is also an executive producer. Cassar directed 59 episodes of the original series.
24: Live Another Day will debut May 5 on Global.
