TORONTO – Iconic rock band Queen is hitting the road this summer with Adam Lambert as frontman — and they’re stopping in several Canadian cities.
The group said Thursday it will kick off the 19-date tour on June 19 in Chicago and end July 20 in Washington, D.C.

Queen will play Winnipeg June 21, Saskatoon on June 23, Edmonton on June 24, Calgary on June 26, Vancouver on June 28, Toronto on July 13 and Montreal on July 14.
Lambert, who turned his American Idol exposure into a successful solo career, performed with Queen’s original members Brian May and Roger Taylor in 2009 on Idol and later at several recent music festivals.
Queen’s flamboyant lead singer Freddie Mercury died in 1991.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday.
