3 dead including two minors after crash involving transport truck: OPP

Three people are dead and two others are in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a transport truck and an SUV in Norwich Township, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

Oxford OPP and emergency crews responded to a collision around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street.

Three occupants of the SUV were found with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver has been identified as a 39-year-old from Cambridge, and two passengers have been identified, aged 13 and 17, from Tillsonburg.

Two other occupants were taken to hospital by Ornge air ambulance and land ambulance with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision and are asking residents, businesses and drivers in the area to check any security or dash camera footage that may have captured the crash or the vehicles involved.
