The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating the deaths of two people after an incident in the northeast community of Redstone early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called out to a home along Redstone Park around 12:40 a.m. after receiving a call about a disturbance.
Police said, when officers arrived, they found two people suffering from serious injuries, and despite life-saving measures, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died in hospital.
A neighbour told Global News that there are three sets of renters who live in the house.
One of the residents said he heard a commotion around 12:30 a.m. and when he got downstairs he saw two of his friends lying on the ground.

He contacted another friend who lives down the street and that person called 9-1-1.
Police said the two victims are adults, but are releasing few other details.
However, they insist there is no danger to the public and said investigators are not looking for any suspects.
Autopsies on the victims are scheduled to performed on Thursday.
