SASKATOON – A man charged with drunk driving causing death has made a court appearance in Saskatoon.

Nicholas M. Adie, 28, was charged at the end of January after a lengthy investigation into a fatal pedestrian collision in July 2013.

On July 3, two pedestrians were struck by an SUV in the 100-block of Molloy Street.

A 61-year-old man died in hospital from his injuries.

Adie is also charged with impaired driving, exceeding .08 and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The case has been adjourned until March 31.
