SASKATOON – More than thirty firefighters are on scene at a large blaze at a warehouse in the Sutherland Industrial neighbourhood.
On arrival, fire crews found flames shooting out of the building in the 100-block of 105th Avenue, and smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from several miles away.
A second alarm was sounded one minute after the first crews arrived at the scene.
The fire started just after 4 p.m. Due to the extent of the blaze, crews were initially unable to enter the warehouse and instead set up a defensive attack to defend nearby buildings.
Playful Paws Pet Center had to evacuate animals that were in their care.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Traffic is blocked on 105th Street between Central Avenue and Jessop Avenue and on Central Avenue between 107th and 108th Stgreets
