Health Canada has announced a recall of ‘JCorp Inc.’ brand hoodies sold at Triple Flip stores across Canada.
The children’s hoodies come with a neck drawstring, which poses a strangulation hazard.
The drawstrings can become caught on playground equipment, fences or other objects and result in strangulation, or in the case of vehicles, the child being dragged.

The affected products were sold exclusively at Triple Flip stores.
The recall involves the following products:
Hooded dress model number 9XT260-203
Girl’s hooded model number jacket 9XT264-203
Girl’s high collar jacket model number 9XT289-203
Approximately 1,115 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada between September to November 2011 at Triple Flip stores.
Neither Health Canada nor JCorp Inc. Triple Flip have received any reports of injuries.
Consumers are asked to immediately remove the drawstrings from the garments to eliminate the hazard.
