HALIFAX – Two men are facing assault charges, following a scuffle in a hotel room in Bedford, N.S.
The fight started around 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stardust Motel on the Bedford Highway, said Christina Martin of the Halifax Regional Police. Six people were in the suite at the time, including two teenage girls.

A 19-year-old man was taken to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with non life-threatening injuries. Police said he knows the suspects and is not cooperating with their investigation.
Three men were arrested at the hotel; one has since been released without charges. A 36-year-old man and 18-year-old man are charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. Police said the suspects used items in the hotel room in their assault of the victim. They will appear in court at a later date.

The two young women will appear in Halifax court on Friday for breaching court conditions.
Police are still investigating the matter.
