SASKATOON – A teen is facing charges after messages were posted on the internet threatening to harm staff and students at a Saskatoon high school.
Police say they were alerted on Sunday to the messages being posted on the internet.
Officers worked with staff at Evan Hardy Collegiate on Sunday evening and into Monday morning and were able to identify the person believed to have made the threats.
The 16-year-old was arrested at the high school.
He will remain in custody until he is seen by a justice of the peace or makes a court appearance on Feb. 11.
Police officials say there is no evidence at this point of the investigation to believe there was an imminent threat to safety.
