Man robs pharmacy at gunpoint, takes narcotics

HALIFAX – Police are looking for a suspect after a Bedford pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint.

Around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, the man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at the Bedford Highway and Hammonds Plains Road.

According to police, he pointed a gun at the pharmacist and demanded drugs. She handed over an unknown amount of narcotics and the suspect left. The pharmacist was not injured.

Police said the suspect is a white man, who stands about five-foot-eight. He was wearing a grey hoodie, a scarf over his face and black pants.
