Amber alert for missing 8-month-old Brampton, Ont. boy cancelled

An Amber Alert has been cancelled for a missing eight-month-old boy who police say was last seen in Brampton, Ont.

The alert, issued just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, was requested by Peel Regional Police, who said they were looking for the baby and a 40-year-old man.

About 45 minutes later, the alert was cancelled. Officials said the child had been found safe, although they offered no further details.

Peel Regional Police said the alert was originally issued after an “assist citizen call” in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Bartley Bull Parkway.
