REGINA – Regina band Rah Rah has been nominated for a Juno Award for alternative album of the year for The Poet’s Dead.

Vocalist Marshall Burns says he was surprised but honoured by being in the category, which also includes albums by Arcade Fire, Royal Canoe, The Darcys and Yamantaka/Sonic Titan.

Other Saskatchewan artists nominated for Junos include Little Miss Higgins for best roots and traditional album and George Leech for aboriginal album.

Recording engineers Kevin and Kane Churko are also up for an award for the second year in a row.
