TORONTO — A proposed TV series from the writer of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life will be filmed in Toronto in March.

Clementine is described by ABC as a drama about “a habitual criminal [who] digs into the mystery of her origins after she becomes the target of a group of zealots who fear she possesses latent supernatural abilities that she will one day harness for either profound good or monstrous evil.”

Cameras will roll on the pilot episode in March.

The pilot was scripted by Dean Georgaris, whose credits also include 2006’s Tristan + Isolde starring James Franco and 2003’s made-in-Vancouver thriller Paycheck with Ben Affleck.

He was also an executive producer on 2012’s Life of Pi.

Also serving as executive producers of Clementine are Mark Gordon (Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy), Nicholas Pepper and Ilene Staple.

If picked up by ABC, Clementine could debut as a series next fall. The network’s last made-in-Toronto series, Lucky 7, was cancelled after two episodes.

Also shooting this season in Toronto are the pilots Agatha for ABC and Man Seeking Woman for FX.
