SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man has been charged by police after a taxi driver was robbed three weeks ago.

On Jan.7, a cab driver alerted officers that he had just been robbed by a customer in the 400-block of Avenue T South.

A male passenger pulled out what appeared to be a firearm and stole cash and the driver’s wallet. The suspect then fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The firearm turned out to be a pellet gun.

Further investigation led police to the 26-year-old suspect who has now been charged with armed robbery.
