SASKATOON – Police are investigating an armed robbery of a taxi that happened late Tuesday night in Saskatoon.
Around 11:40 p.m., a taxi driver picked up three youth, one man and two women, at Avenue O and 21st Street West.
As the cabbie began driving he saw the man pull out a firearm.
The driver stopped and got out before the youth drove away in the cab.
No injuries were reported.
Officers later found the taxi abandoned in an alley in the 800-block of Avenue H North.
Police arrested two teenage girls nearby and are currently questioning them.
