More warnings issued after rash of break-ins

CALGARY- Just days after police issued a warning about a series of brazen break-ins, thieves have struck again.

The latest incidents happened over the weekend, when six homes in the community of Applewood were broken into. In one of the cases, a resident was home and confronted the thief, who fled.

Police say whoever is responsible got into the houses by kicking in basement doors or windows. However, one case saw the suspect try to get inside a second-storey window by using a ladder.

The suspect ransacked bedrooms, stealing jewelry and cash. He is described as being between 20 and 40 years old, 5’10” to 6’ tall and about 140 pounds. He was wearing a black toque, black jacket and black pants.
