The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called in after a man was found dead inside a parked car in Surrey earlier today.
Surrey RCMP located the body in the 18900 block of 92nd Avenue in Surrey and after an initial investigation determined it to be a homicide and called in IHIT.
IHIT said their main priority is confirming the identity of the victim, which will be done through the autopsy, and to notify his family. So far, they can say that the incident does not appear to be a random act.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the homicide or were in the area in the last few days to contact the IHIT tip line 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).
