Sport: Biathlon

Age: 25

Hometown: Prince George, B.C.

Accomplishments:

  • 2013 4th place finish at a World Cup even in the 4 x 6km Relay.

Interesting Fact: Megan Heinicke always travels with one of her three-year-old son’s T-shirts. She brings her own kettle and tea on the road with her and collects matchboxes from all over the world.

Chances: Having never cracked the top 20 in an international senior individual event, Heinicke is not a likely medal recipient. She will be part of the relay team, which has a better chance of medalling.
