The goal was just Butcher’s second of the season.

Troy Trombley kept the game close for the Blades (12-28-4), making 36 saves, while his Medicine Hat (24-14-3) counterpart Daniel Wapple handled 18 shots.

Logan McVeigh opened the scoring for the Tigers in the first period, and Cory Millette tied it for Saskatoon at the 11 minute mark of the third.

The Blades are back home on Wednesday when they host the Calgary Hitmen.
