Burns was the Blades second leading scorer this season, with 16 goals and 27 assists for 43 points.

“We’ve been watching (Burns) for a while and we think he will be a perfect addition to our team. He’s big, he can score and he has a strong defensive side to his game,” said Mark Lamb, the Broncos head coach and general manager.

Blades general manager Lorne Molleken said the trade continues the rebuilding of the team.

“Acquiring the draft picks, a young prospect and an overage leader like Sanvido is huge for us,” said Molleken.

“He’s an offensive player that we know will come in and provide great leadership and guidance to our young club.”

Sanvido had 12 goals and 26 points in 40 games with the Broncos this season.

Sloboshan, from Vanscoy, is playing Midget-AAA with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Prep. where he has 19 goals and 54 points in 30 games.

The Blades next game is Friday when they travel to Regina to take on the Pats.
