REGINA – A blowing snow warning has ended for Regina, Moose Jaw, and surrounding areas and a snowfall warning has ended for southeastern Saskatchewan including the Yorkton region.

A storm system near Weyburn is bringing a large swath of snow across Southern Saskatchewan on Friday.

The greatest snowfall amount is expected to fall over eastern Saskatchewan with 10 to 15 cm of snow and further west 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected to accumulate along the TransCanada corridor and south to the US border.

Northerly winds of 60 or 70 km/h this afternoon and into the evening will produce extensive blowing snow with local whiteout conditions at times with travel becoming difficult along the TransCanada highway.
