Two children out of nine remain in hospital following a school bus collision with an SUV near the community of Rockglen, Sask.
On Monday afternoon, the bus crash occurred at an intersection of two gravel roads near the southwest part of the province.
According to The Canadian Press, RCMP said the nine children were treated for various injuries at the scene.
A spokesperson with the Prairie South School Division (PSSD) said five were sent home with bumps and bruises.
The PSSD said the SUV hit the rear end of the bus, driving it forward into a roadside ditch, where it rolled.
“It clipped the back end of the bus and put it into the ditch,” said Ryan Boughen, director of education with the division.
The adult driver and passenger in the SUV were not injured.
The nine children on the bus were from Rockglen School and were in Grades 2 to 11.
