SASKATOON – Investigators are busy looking for the cause of a house fire in Saskatoon on Friday afternoon.
At noon, Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services were called to a possible structure fire at 634 Ave H South.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy black smoke coming from the basement and main floor windows.
A dog escaped from the flaming house as the front door was breached.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames on the main floor as well as a major fire in the basement.
No people were home at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $200,000.
