The Edmonton Police Service issued a public warning Saturday about a convicted violent sexual offender who police believe might commit another violent act.
Ryan James White, 42, will be living in Edmonton when he’s released from custody.
“White is a violent sexual offender who has been violent in the past, resulting in physical harm to his victims in the commission of offences,” police said in a news release. “He has physically and sexually victimized female adults, particularly vulnerable females, including sex workers.
“White has also physically assaulted a female toddler and an older female adult.”
Police said White is currently subject to a court order with conditions and will be managed by the EPS behavioural assessment unit.
His court-ordered conditions include living at a residence approved by his supervisor, abiding by an 11 p.m.-6 a.m. curfew, staying in Edmonton unless he gets written approval, wearing an electronic monitoring device, not being around sex workers and not consuming alcohol or drugs.
To report any breaches in conditions, people can contact police at 780-423-4567.
White is described as a six-foot-four, 225-pound man with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police issued a similar warning about White on Jan. 23 of this year.
