Editor’s note: On Saturday morning RCMP issued a news release advising the highway was clear and normal traffic flow had resumed.
Cochrane RCMP said there is slow-moving traffic on Highway 1, between Jumping Pound Road and Highway 2.

In a release late Friday afternoon, police said four to five vehicles are taking up all lanes of the highway. Mounties said motorists should slow down and use caution in the area while “they work to resolve the matter.”
Police have not identified the circumstances involved.
