A driver has been charged with careless driving after police say their actions led to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 400 early Tuesday.
In a video posted to X, an OPP officer said a 41-year-old driver was charged with careless driving after cutting in front of the southbound transport truck.
Police say the driver failed to pay attention when making a lane change, causing the transport truck to collide with the vehicle.
The transport truck went through the centre median, striking a dump truck travelling on the northbound side of the highway.
The transport truck then ended up in the woods on the northbound side of the highway.
Police closed the northbound lane of Highway 88 near Bradford West Gwillimbury. The lanes have since reopened.
Traffic was being diverted away from the highway, and drivers can get back on the 400 at Highway 89.
Police warned that the crash caused significant delays for those travelling between Toronto and Barrie in both directions.
No injuries have been reported, police say.
