Weyburn auction features special Roughrider Christmas tree

Roughrider fans in Weyburn have the opportunity to bid on a very special Christmas tree Thursday night.

The annual Festival of Trees auction features one tree decorated with hand knit Roughrider players made by a local woman. Included are current Riders, cheerleaders and Hall of Famers. Ten other trees will also be going up for auction.

All the money raised from the event will go to support The Family Place in Weyburn, which helps to bridge the gap in child services. It’s hoped that $40,000 will be raised in the event.
