A family is homeless just weeks before Christmas.
A fire ripped through a Cawston house just before midnight last night.
“I’m sad. I had photos, family photos,” says Janine Sanderson. “I’m hoping that I can get some of the belongings that are precious to me.”
Janine Sanderson and her husband John have just recently moved into the house with their two children.
They say they couldn’t afford insurance.
“I only make 13 bucks an hour in West Kelowna,” explains John Sanderson. “And she is looking for a job.”
If you would like to help, a “J&J Sanderson” trust fund has been set up at Valley First Credit Union or you can donate on their Indiegogo page.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze.
